Paul Wolff, a long time Island Tybee resident has organized “Hands Across the Sand” for June 26th where locals and environmental enthusiasts will join together to help protect the pristine beach and local marine and wildlife on Tybee Island to bring to the forefront the importance of protecting Georgia coast from oil drilling.
According to Wolf: “Studies have already shown that any economic or national security benefits derived from drilling for oil off the Eastern outer continental shelf would be minimal. Tapping into what’s out there wouldn’t significantly lower prices at the pump or reduce our dependence on foreign petroleum. ”
