Today marks the 100th day of the gulf oil spill and and as of now it is capped but their is still massive amounts of oil that need to be skimmed from the Gulf.
Over the course of the last 100 days we have been tracking the gulf oil spill and have identified numerous sources during that time that also offer a tremendous amount of information on the spill. These include:
- NOLA- “Everything New Orleans” featuring the latest news, photos, videos from the gulf oil spill or better known as the BP Deepwater Horizon drilling disaster.
- Green Peace- With a great reputation for helping to protect the environment, Green Peace does it once again with organizing people on the ground to help clean up this disaster. Thank you volunteers!
- New Delhi Chronicle- Surprised? I was too but they have been on top of providing their audience with detailed info on the gulf oil spill and the people behind it.
- Christian Science Monitor- Great compilation of Gulf Oil Spill news from the government to the environment.

For more information on the gulf oil spill, check out BP’s corporate site which now gets 2 million people to it’s site a month to get the latest. You can also check out BP’s stock ticker to see how the gulf oil spill has sent their stock from $60.00 on April 20th (first day of spill) to a historical low of $27.02 on June 25th, only to see a rebound to $38.00 as of today July 28th. I am still apauled by how long it took to make any headway with this mess. As one of the richest and most technologically advanced societies in the world, why has this been going on for 100 days. It’s mind numbing!
